AMAZING video of the last nighttime Space Shuttle launch of the program on 2/8/10 as Endeavour STS-130 illuminates itself into the sky. Includes radio broadcast of NASA Mission Control. The videographer adds these notes: “Shot from 12.1 miles away in Titusville using a canon SX10 IS digital camera.”
It’s unbelievable that something can be so bright to turn the sky blue in the dark of night….it truly is a miniature version of the sun…..and will likely never be duplicated again in the near future. Around 2:00 into the video you can hear the sound shock-wave hits the filming location when the surrounding sound is completely muffled out.
