This is the second (and successful) Spirit Airlines #640 approach for landing at DTW (Detroit Metro Airport) on Runway 21L on 12/15/09. As you can see the visibility is very low, and I’d estimate the ceiling around 6-800AGL with an occasional cloud lower than that. On the prior attempt the ceiling felt lower which is why I think the pilot wisely choose to go-around. Includes turn off to taxiway.
